Jason Jones
Creative Director in Residence
Jason Jones is a marketing strategist and creative director with more than 30 years of experience in branding, design, and communications. He began his career at The New York Times before moving into senior creative roles as Art Director at the Orlando Sentinel and Creative Director at Orlando Magazine.
Today, as the founder of Studio Jones Design, Jason helps businesses develop clear, effective brands by combining editorial insight with modern marketing practices. His work spans from creating compelling visual content for large organizations to coaching small business owners on marketing strategy and practical design tools that support growth.
Jason holds an MBA, giving him a unique blend of creative and business expertise that informs his strategic approach to branding. He is also a graduate of Florida A&M University and remains actively involved through mentorship, including participation in the FAMU Mentorship Program.
In addition to leading his business, Jason has taught Graphic Design at Valencia College for over 20 years, helping students build real-world skills and launch successful careers. He is committed to giving back and serves as a volunteer mentor with SCORE, a national nonprofit that supports entrepreneurs through education and coaching. He also co-hosts SCORE’s radio show, What’s the SCORE, where he shares insights with the broader business community.
